Ross Beaty, Executive Chairman
Ross J. Beaty is a geologist and resource company entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in the international minerals and renewable energy industries. In early 2008, Mr. Beaty founded Magma Energy Corp. to focus on international geothermal energy development. In 2011, Magma and Plutonic Power merged to create Alterra Power Corp. Mr. Beaty also founded and currently serves as Chairman of Pan American Silver Corp., one of the world's leading silver producers, and since 1985 he has successfully founded and divested a number of other public mineral resource companies.
Mr. Beaty is a Director of The Nature Trust of B.C. and patron of the Beaty Biodiversity Center at the University of B.C. Mr. Beaty is a past President of the Silver Institute in Washington, D.C., a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining, and a recipient of the Institute's Past President's Memorial Medal. In 2007, Mr. Beaty received the Association of Mineral Exploration of B.C.'s Colin Spence Award for excellence in global mineral exploration; in 2008, he received the Mining Person of the Year award from the Mining Association of B.C. and the 2008 Natural Resources & Energy Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young. In 2010, Mr. Beaty was awarded the prestigious Viola MacMillan Award at the Prospect and Developers Association of Canada.

Donald A. McInnes, Executive Vice Chairman Chair Health & Safety Committee
Donald McInnes founded and was the CEO of Plutonic Power, which merged with Magma Energy Corp. in 2011 to create Alterra Power Corp. Mr. McInnes currently serves as Chairman of the Clean Energy Association of British Columbia and is a director of Prostate Cancer Canada, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award-British Columbia and Yukon Division and is a Governor of the British Columbia Business Council. He was a participant in the inaugural year (2010) of the SFU Leadership Exchange Program for the Industry Council for Aboriginal Business and was bestowed a Doctor of Technology honoris causa from the BC Institute of Technology in 2009. In 2011, Mr. McInnes was awarded an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Pacific Division Cleantech category. Mr. McInnes is a frequent public speaker and contributor to the debate on public policy and the integration and value of clean power.

David Cornhill, Director Chair Governance & Nominating Committee, Member Compensation Committee
Mr. Cornhill is the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AltaGas Income Trust, one of Canada's largest energy infrastructure groups, focused on gas and power infrastructure and renewable energy (wind and hydro). With more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, Mr. Cornhill also sits on several private and public boards including AltaGas Utility Group and Ivey Business School.

David O’Brien, Director Member Audit, Governance & Nominating Committee
David O'Brien is retired as President and Chief Executive Officer, Toronto Hydro Corporation where he served between 2004-2009. Prior to joining Toronto Hydro Corporation, Mr. O'Brien was on a six-month secondment with Ontario's Ministry of Energy from the City of Mississauga, where he initially joined as Associate Deputy Minister of Energy and subsequently appointed Deputy Minister. David O'Brien began his career 31 years ago in the City of Sudbury where he rose to the position of City Manager. Since then he has held the position of City Manager for the Region of Ottawa Carleton, the City of Gloucester, the City of Ottawa, and most recently, the City of Mississauga where he was City Manager since between 1995-2004. Mr. O'Brien has also served as President and CEO of Enersource Corporation, the parent company of Hydro Mississauga. After stepping down as CEO, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Enersource Corporation and Chair of the Development Committee. Mr. O'Brien is a member of the Board of OMERS, Apex Co-Vantage and the Summerhill Group, as well as a strategic advisor on energy matters to a number of other companies. Mr. O'Brien has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Windsor.

Donald Shumka, Director Chair Audit Committee, Member Compensation, Governance & Nominating Committee
Mr. Shumka is Managing Director of Walden Management Ltd., a financial consulting firm. Mr. Shumka received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University. From 1966 to 1979 he worked in a variety of positions in the forest industry, from 1979 to 1989 he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. and from 1989 to 2004 he headed the Forest Products Group for two Canadian investment banks. Mr. Shumka is active in the not for profit sector and is currently the Chair of the British Columbia Arts Council.

Walter Segsworth, Director Chair Compensation Committee, Member Audit Committee
Walter Segsworth graduated from Michigan Tech in 1971 with a BSc degree in Mining Engineering. He has worked at many mines and properties in Canada and overseas and has managed three large Canadian mines. In 1990 he was appointed President and Director of Westmin Resources and led the operational and financial turnaround of that company, culminating in a significant expansion of the company's assets. Upon the takeover of Westmin by Boliden in 1998, Mr. Segsworth joined Homestake Mining Company of California where he was subsequently appointed President, Director and COO and served until the merger with Barrick in early 2002. Under his direction, Homestake achieved record production, and operating costs were the lowest in 25 years. Mr. Segsworth is a director of five companies, all but Alterra in the mining sector. He is past Chairman of both the Mining Associations of BC and Canada and was named BC's Mining Person of the year in 1996.

Paul Sweeney, Director Member Health & Safety Committee
Mr. Sweeney joined Plutonic in January 2007 and was previously Executive Officer before stepping back to take a part-time role with the Company in January 2011. Upon completion of the merger Mr. Sweeney resigned from the company but remains as a director. Mr. Sweeney was instrumental in arranging the $470 million project loan for the Toba Montrose Project and the $175 million project loan for the Dokie Project. Mr. Sweeney has a strong track record of success having previously served as Chief Financial Officer of Canico Resource Corp. where he was responsible for among other things, arranging project financing for the Onca-Puma Nickel Project. Financing of the project was well underway and commitments received when Canico was bought by way of a $940 million takeover by CVRD. Prior to Canico he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Sutton Resource Corp. where he had arranged the debt financing for the Bulyanhulu gold mine in Tanzania prior to Sutton's take out by Barrick Gold Corp. Mr. Sweeney is also a member of the Board of several other publicly traded companies.
