Ross Beaty, Executive Chairman
Ross J. Beaty is a geologist and resource company entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in the international minerals and renewable energy industries. In early 2008, Mr. Beaty founded Magma Energy Corp. to focus on international geothermal energy development. In 2011, Magma and Plutonic Power merged to create Alterra Power Corp. Mr. Beaty also founded and currently serves as Chairman of Pan American Silver Corp., one of the world's leading silver producers, and since 1985 he has successfully founded and divested a number of other public mineral resource companies.
Mr. Beaty is a Director of The Nature Trust of B.C. and patron of the Beaty Biodiversity Center at the University of B.C. Mr. Beaty is a past President of the Silver Institute in Washington, D.C., a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada and the Canadian Institute of Mining, and a recipient of the Institute's Past President's Memorial Medal. In 2007, Mr. Beaty received the Association of Mineral Exploration of B.C.'s Colin Spence Award for excellence in global mineral exploration; in 2008, he received the Mining Person of the Year award from the Mining Association of B.C. and the 2008 Natural Resources & Energy Entrepreneur of the Year Award by Ernst & Young. In 2010, Mr. Beaty was awarded the prestigious Viola MacMillan Award at the Prospect and Developers Association of Canada.

Donald A. McInnes, Executive Vice Chairman
Donald McInnes founded and was the CEO of Plutonic Power, which merged with Magma Energy Corp. in 2011 to create Alterra Power Corp. Mr. McInnes currently serves as Chairman of the Clean Energy Association of British Columbia and is a director of Prostate Cancer Canada, the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award-British Columbia and Yukon Division and is a Governor of the British Columbia Business Council. He was a participant in the inaugural year (2010) of the SFU Leadership Exchange Program for the Industry Council for Aboriginal Business and was bestowed a Doctor of Technology honoris causa from the BC Institute of Technology in 2009. In 2011, Mr. McInnes was awarded an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Pacific Division Cleantech category. Mr. McInnes is a frequent public speaker and contributor to the debate on public policy and the integration and value of clean power.

John Carson, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Carson is a highly experienced renewable energy business leader with a core expertise in structuring and leading financial transactions. His experience over the last ten years includes senior positions held in GE Energy Financial Services (Renewable Energy Group), Terra-Gen Power and Noble Environmental Power, and he has closed well over US$2 billion of transactions, primarily in the renewable energy space. His education includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University.

Bruce Ripley, Chief Operating Officer
Bruce Ripley has 30 years of engineering experience in the electricity and heavy civil industries including 4 years as an executive with Plutonic Power Corporation and 16 years with BC Hydro where he was Vice President, Engineering. As COO of Alterra, Bruce oversees all technical work including: operation of its geothermal, hydroelectric and wind generating facilities; exploration and construction of greenfield projects; and technical review of business development opportunities. Bruce has served on the executive of the Tunnelling Association of Canada; on the Boards of Powertech and Science World; and on the Electric Power Research Institute's Research Advisory Committee. Bruce has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil) from the University of British Columbia, and Master and Doctor of Engineering degrees (Civil) from the University of California

Peter Wong, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Wong joined the Company in 2005 and over the last 18 years has held a number of progressive senior financial management positions with publicly listed mining and technology companies at the venture, development and operational stages. Mr. Wong articled with the accounting firm of Deloitte and Touche and obtained his CA designation in 1992. He is a current member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC and holds a B.Comm. from the University of British Columbia.

Rupert Legge, LL.B., Exec VP Legal and Corporate Secretary
Prior to joining Plutonic Power, Mr. Legge practiced securities and corporate finance law for more than 20 years at a major Vancouver law firm. He has a wide range of experience in advising public companies at all stages of development on a wide variety of matters, including regulatory compliance and corporate governance. Mr. Legge holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Catherine Hickson, VP Exploration & Chief Geologist
Dr. Hickson is a world renowned volcanologist with over 26 years of Canadian and international geoscience experience, primarily with Natural Resources Canada. After gaining her Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia she began her career under Canada's Geothermal Program in 1981. She has published dozens of papers in volcanic geology globally and has led large multidisciplinary geoscience programs in Canada and South America. She has been a member of the Canadian Geothermal Association since 1984. Dr. Hickson will head Alterra's geothermal exploration activities.

Anders Kruus, MBA , VP Corporate Relations
Mr. Kruus is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience in capital markets and corporate finance gained while working in Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto and a BA Honours in Economics from Carleton University, and has been a registered securities and derivatives representative in the U.K. and the U.S. Prior to joining Alterra he advised global corporations, institutional investors and private individuals while at Citibank & Bank of America, and then led the capital sourcing and financial management for private enterprises and start-ups. Mr. Kruus speaks English, Danish, German and French.

Asgeir Margeirsson, VP Geothermal
Ásgeir Margeirsson, holds a Lic. Techn. degree in Construction Management from The Technical University in Lund, Sweden and a C.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iceland in Reykjavik. Mr. Margeirsson is currently Chairman of the Board for Alterra’s subsidiary HS Orka. Mr. Margeirsson is a board member of the Geothermal Association of Iceland, after serving as Chairman for 4 years. His previous positions include CEO of Geysir Green Energy, COO and Deputy CEO of Reykjavik Energy and Technical Director of Iceland Drilling Co. Mr. Margeirsson has also served on the boards of several geothermal companies in three different continents and has been involved in geothermal exploration and development in various countries for over 16 years.

Paul Rapp, VP Wind Power
Paul Rapp holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Geological Engineering from the University of British Columbia, and is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. Prior to joining Alterra Mr. Rapp worked for over twenty years in the Engineering and Generation groups at BC Hydro. He has experience with all aspects of project development, construction and generation operations, and from 2009 to 2011 led the successful construction of the $228 MM Dokie Wind Project, near Chetwynd B.C. Mr. Rapp is responsible for operations of the Dokie wind farm, and for the development of wind projects for Alterra Power.

Jay Sutton, VP Hydro Power
Jay Sutton holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Civil Engineering from the University of British Columbia and is registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. Mr. Sutton has over 15 years of experience in progressively complex roles on transportation, hydroelectric and marine structures in a variety of delivery models. Mr. Sutton worked for BC Hydro as construction manager from 2000 to 2005 and for WorleyParsons as Province's Representative on site for the construction of the William R Bennett floating bridge in Kelowna and Campbell Road Interchange with the Westbank First Nation from 2005 to 2008. Recently Mr. Sutton worked for WorleyParsons as project manager for the Toba Montrose Hydroelectric Project prior to joining Plutonic Power in May 2010.

Monte C. Morrison, Country Manager USA
Monte Morrison is a Registered Professional Engineer, (Chemical, Nevada) with more than 26 years of experience in all aspects of geothermal power plant management. He manages all aspects of Alterra's interests in the US, including the operation of Soda Lake and development of all future projects. Mr. Morrison's responsibilities include the profit & loss of the US business, safety, environmental, project development, human resources, permitting and the support of potential acquisitions. Prior to Alterra, he has managed multiple geothermal power plants in Nevada, California and Hawaii. His chemical engineering degree was received from the University of Nevada, Reno and he has held an Emergency Medical Technician certificate for over 22 years.

John Selters, Country Manager CHILE
John Selters is a mining engineering graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and has resided in Chile and managed resource development projects for more than 20 years. He worked with Mr. Beaty as Country Manager for the Lumina Copper Group from 2003 - 2008 and has managed Alterra Power’s Chilean geothermal projects since 2008.
