Plutonic Power Corporation and the Toba Montrose General Partnership are committed to enhancing and engaging the communities in which we operate. Funding applications or in-kind services are accepted/offered on either a one-time basis or for multi-year agreements for organizations and First Nations. Applications are evaluated in two key funding areas:
  1. Community Relationship Funding
    • Funding allocated to the organizations/events that build Plutonic Power's relationships/reputation while creating legacies in communities where we are developing or operating.

    • Core funding areas: Environment/Sustainability/Education and Training. Past recipients of Community Relationship Funding:
      1. Powell River Salmon Society
      2. United Way of Powell River
      3. Powell River Academy of Music

  2. First Nations Empowerment Funding
    • Funding allocated to First Nations capacity building projects that enhance the bands self-sufficiency, growth and preservation or sharing of culture in communities where we are developing or operating.

    • Core funding areas: Education/Training/Wellness/Culture.
      Past recipients of First Nations Empowerment Funding:
      1. Sliammon Nun Kum Dancers
      2. Tla'Amin Community Health Services
Criteria:

Preference is given to applications that detail how they align with the following:
  • Strengthens the communities in which we operate by providing for a new or enhancing an existing opportunity
  • Educate the public and encourage dialogue on the benefits of renewable energy in BC, specifically run-of-river hydro
  • Enhancing and supporting the development and self-sufficiency of First Nations
  • Exposes/enables access for a large number of community members
Sponsorship:

Plutonic Power Corporation and the Toba Montrose General Partnership support activities and programs that create opportunities to build relationships and enhance our reputation in communities where were are developing or operating, or to create industry goodwill on behalf of renewable energy developers in BC.

Criteria:

Preference is given to applications that detail how they align with the following:

Raises the profile of Plutonic's leadership in the development of renewable energy through providing exposure to the public;

Showcases renewable energy technology, specifically run-of-river hydro, and encourages dialogue on its benefits to BC.

To apply for Community Relationship or Sponsorship funding, please email a letter of introduction about your organization as well as a proposal outlining how your organization meets the above criteria to:

Applications will be evaluated on the strength of the submission against the criteria and will be based on availability of funding. Applicants who are unsuccessful are encouraged to reapply in the following calendar year.
